One request: please leave the nautical stripes and captain's hats at home. :-)



Earth tones are encouraged (think sage, terracotta, lavender, warm browns, dark greens and dark blues) but not required.



For your safety, flat shoes, wedges or low block heels are much safer on deck. We highly suggest not wearing stilettos.



We strongly recommend bringing a jacket or cozy wrap. Santa Barbara evenings on the water get cooler than you'd expect once the sun sets.

July in Santa Barbara is classic Southern California summer: warm, sunny, and dry during the day, with highs typically around 70–75°F.



However, evenings on the water are a different story. Once the sun goes down, the ocean breeze picks up and temperatures can drop into the low 60s or cooler. A light jacket, blazer, or wrap isn't just a suggestion — you'll likely want it.



The good news: rain in July is essentially unheard of, so chances for rain are slim to none.

The closest parking is the paid lot at the Santa Barbara Sailing Center (133 Harbor Way, Santa Barbara, CA 93101). Spots fill up on summer evenings, so arriving a little early is wise.



Rideshare is a great option if you'd rather skip the parking hunt. Uber and Lyft both serve the harbor area reliably. Drop-off right at the Sailing Center is easy!



Prefer street parking? The blocks around Loquita restaurant (202 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101) sometimes have availability, and there are a few additional paid lots within a 5–10 minute walk of the harbor. Just budget a little extra time if you go that route.
